We went to the Sunday morning Gospel Brunch. What a hoot. The band was really really fun and the crowd had a great time. The food was good, buffet style, with a good selection. Nobody left hungry. The standard kind of Texas Buffet, with the main meat being brisket, but there was also fried catfish, lots of vegetables, macaroni and cheese, and some really good grits. A little skimpy on the desserts but after all that good other stuff, there wasn't much room for dessert. But overall it's a really great package. You just really should make a reservation for it in advance because it's pretty popular. All together it's a really good time, in a terrific Austin experience

This outdoor venue has been so comfy every time I’ve attended concerts there. The smell of delicious BBQ is a bonus. The conveniently placed bars are excellent too! I wish the restrooms were indoors and not a line of port a potties but alas, we can’t win ‘em all. We had an excellent time at this week’s concert.

Went on a Saturday around 9pm. A group of us went so we were able to share multiple things. The brisket was a bit dry. The chicken was average. Pulled pork and beef were better. Ribs were fantastic. None of the sides we ordered were anything to write home about.

Well I would leave a photo of the delicious food but we were never served. We were the only people of color in the establishment and had bad service from walking in the door. We patiently waited for someone to come help us after being seated but instead watched as others that were seated after us receive service. Interesting considering the establish was founded by a person of color.

Mar 19, 2019. Great staff and cool atmosphere. Fried Green tomatoes were fine but I've had better, i thought the okra would be pan fried instead it was deep fried. The slaw was excellent and flavorful. The sausage was great, pulled pork was fine w the house bbq sauce, but the brisket was mouth watering, full of flavor and fell apart trying to eat it. My next trip will be triple brisket!
